Request

What percentage pay increase have states members had in total since 2013?

Response

Information about States Members’ remuneration is published in reports by the independent States Members’ Remuneration Review Body, the most recent of which was presented to the States on 9 February 2017:

States Members’ remuneration reports

In 2013 States Members received remuneration of £42,000 and an expense allowance of £4,000. In 2014 these were merged and overall remuneration was increased to £46,600. The level of remuneration has not changed since then and the Review Body’s February report recommended holding remuneration level at £46,600 until 2022. Comparing like for like, States Members’ remuneration has increased by 1.3% since 2013.

This response has been issued on behalf of the States Greffe.
