Drone costs from inception to present day (December 2015 to January 2018):
Training
Drone operatives training costs: £14,957.55
This includes initial qualification courses and specialised training courses at the Fire Service College for five Jersey Fire and Rescue personnel.
Drones
Three drones and equipment: £24,725.69
Overtime
Overtime: £4,460.54

This is a very subjective question as every search can be considered successful depending upon the brief. The majority of incidents are based on requests to search an area to confirm if a missing person is in the area or not. This involves performing a sweep of an area to confirm that there are no persons in that area. This activity prevents resources being otherwise tied up or sent to search areas inaccessible for personnel due to safety concerns, and is therefore considered a success.
Jersey Fire and Rescue Service have utilised drones in 16 missing person searches.
