The Communications Directorate was only established in July 2018. Therefore, costs relating to the Directorate for the period 1 July to 30 November (inclusive) are included in the table below. Salaries are included in the “Staff cost” line and training is included in the “Supplies and services” line:

The Communications Directorate was not established before July 2018 therefore it is not possible to provide comparative costs for 2017 or earlier. Previously, the States operated a devolved model, under which individual communications and marketing staff, activities and costs were incurred separately by individual departments, and with many of the staff involved in communications having this only as part of their roles.

The information requested is exempt under Article 25 (Personal Information) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011. However the broad salary range for the Director of Communications is within the pay range for Directors in the States of Jersey of £93,334-£175,000.
