Compensation claim (FOI)

This request follows reporting of the now settled personal injury claim against Health by two siblings. I would like to know the following:

A

If compensation is not being paid from the public purse as reported, where is it being paid from?

B

Has the intention always been for said compensation, if awarded, to be paid from this other source?

C

If so, (the same question applies if not) is it for this reason or another that the public have never been made aware of any further specifics of the case, such as the period of time the negligence took place during?

The States of Jersey insurance arrangements will fully meet the settlement reached.

The Commissioner and the Court imposed reporting restrictions to protect the identity of the children, now young adults.
