Request
Part of Mr Parker’s ‘One Gov’ vision involved shrinking the upper levels of government. To this end, he has recently publicly stated that the top two tiers of the senior leadership team has reduced from 66 to 40.
A
How many of the 66 are still on the States payroll?
B
Does the 40 include positions held by interims and consultants in senior positions? If no what is the headcount for the interim and consultants in senior positions?
C
What was the (annualised) remuneration cost of the previous 66 senior leadership team?
D
What is the (annualised) remuneration cost of the current 40 senior leadership team (please include interims and consultants in senior positions if not included in the 40).
Response
A to D
Cost and numbers have been taken from the March 18 payroll and February 19 payroll of the management structures as applied at the time. Remuneration cost is base salary and does not include pension contributions.
There are no interims in the current management structure, all are employees and have either permanent or fixed term contracts.
51 members of the 67 in March 2018 remain on the pay roll as at the date of the question release.
