In the Employment and Discrimination Tribunal, what percentage of discrimination claims were brought against local businesses in 2017 and 2018 respectively? What was the success rate for such claims?

Response

In 2017 there were 55 discrimination claims of which 49 were brought against local businesses, being 89% of the claims. Three out of the 49 claims resulted in an award.

In 2018 there were 43 discrimination claims of which 30 were brought against local businesses, being 70% of the claims. one out of the 30 claims has resulted in an award and there are four claims against local businesses started in 2018 still ongoing.
