In 2018 Growth Housing and Environment was established by combining the following three departments.
Department of the Environment
Department for Infrastructure
Economic Development, Tourism, Sports and Culture
The new Growth Housing and Environment department is now split into the following five Directorates:
The Department for Infrastructure therefore no longer exists. It was broken down into the new Operations and Transport and Property and Capital Projects Directorates.
There is one Group Director leading ‘Operations and Transport’ and this role is supported by five assistant directors.
There are two Director Posts in ‘Property and Capital Projects’.

The job titles ‘Chief and Deputy Chief Officers’ are no longer used.
The Group Director of Operations and Transport is Ellen Littlechild and the five Assistant Directors are: Duncan Berry, Richard Fauvel, Martin Gautier, Brian Hoy and Tristen Dodd.
The posts of Group Director and Assistant Director of Property and Capital Projects are both currently vacant

The Inspector of Motor Traffic is Gordon Forrest.
The Deputy Inspector of Motor Traffic is Tristen Dodd

Only one individual has a dual role. This is Tristen Dodd who is the Acting Head of Transport and Engineering Services and the Deputy Inspector of Motor Traffic.
