Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

I write following the previous FOI request at the link below:

HCS interim consultant staff (FOI)

This related to the appointment of [name redacted] as a senior nurse within HCS. The previous response stated he was employed on the nurse bank as a band 8 nurse. Of note the only nurses in the organisation Senior to this grade appear to be the Associate Chief Nurse positions, and the Chief nurse. Bank nurses are usually used to fill specific, usually clinical, vacancies.

Can you please provide information on:

A

The specific vacancy (or vacancies) being covered by [name redacted] whilst working as a bank nurse? Please provide the job description for the role(s)

B

Please provide information on any work and / or housing license [name redacted] was working under, as normally bank nurses would not be entitled to any housing or work qualifications?

C

[Name redacted] is now listed as Intermediate Care Modernisation Manager on LinkedIn.

Please provide the job description for this role, as well as information on the recruitment process and consideration of local candidates (as [name redacted] previously worked with the current DG, as well as the previous interim Senior Nurse in the UK, and appears to have been recruited once again without advert or open competition).

Response

[Name redacted] is employed as a bank nurse. With his experience in Intermediate Care he is helping in the development of the plan for Intermediate Care which is part of the Jersey Care Model.
