My questions relate to the Gorey rape on in October / November 2019, and the subsequent police investigation.

How much money was spent on the recent police investigation into the alleged Gorey rape?

Please provide a breakdown of what these costs can be categorised as where possible.

How many police officers were involved in any way in the police investigation into the alleged Gorey rape?

How many hours of police time were dedicated to the investigation into the alleged Gorey rape?

A and B

Police officers are paid to complete enquiries into alleged offences. The States of Jersey Police only hold the figure for overtime and other costs associated to a named enquiry. The costs as at 14 January 2020 for this particular operation amount to:

Overtime £44,090.53

Hired Services £273.47

Forensic Fees £8,965.10

Equipment £1,904.27

TOTAL £55,233.37

The number of officers working on an enquiry can change from day to day. At its peak, 24 officers were attached to this enquiry.
