Request

Please could you provide the following information:

A

How much revenue did the States Treasury charge for “processing” animals through the knackers yard for the years ending 31 December 2019, 2018 and 2017?

B

Can you provide a breakdown of this revenue by farm, farmer and producer?

C

Is there any breakdown at all available regarding how much revenue was earned by the states treasury by animal type? For any of the three years? If it would take too long to look at all three years, then just the year ending 31 December 2019

However, we have not been able to provide the details you have requested in relation to the years 2017 and 2018 as our systems are not configured in a way that will allow us to extract the details within the 12.5 working hours allowed for Freedom of Information responses in accordance with Regulation 2 (1) of the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014.

We have also not been able to provide a breakdown by farm, farmer or producer for the same reason.

Article applied:

Article 16 A scheduled public authority may refuse to supply information if cost excessive

(1) A scheduled public authority that has been requested to supply information may refuse to supply the information if it estimates that the cost of doing so would exceed an amount determined in the manner prescribed by Regulations.

Regulation 2 (1) of the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014 allows an authority to refuse a request for information where the estimated cost of dealing with the request would exceed the specified amount of the cost limit of £500. This is the estimated cost of one person spending 12.5 working hours in determining whether the department holds the information, locating, retrieving and extracting the information.
