Request
The number of people in Jersey who have died from Covid-19 without any pre-existing medical conditions?
Response
As of today’s date, 62 persons have been registered with a COVID-19 related cause of death
Of those 62, there were 2 deaths registered where COVID-19 is listed as the primary cause of death with no other cause of death appearing within the other sections of the cause of death list.
Information as to how causes of death are listed on a death registration (ie 1a, 1b, 1c, 2) can be found in a previous FOI response at the following link:
Deaths related to Covid-19 (FOI)
Each death is certified by a doctor who is qualified in law to certify the causes of death.
