Request
Please may I have the statistics over the past five years including 2020 for sexual and domestic abuse reports through the Police or Children's Protection services.
For clarity; I am looking for both ‘domestic violence reports’ and ‘sexual offence reports’ within a domestic situation, involving children under the age of 18 years.
Response
The table below shows figures from the States of Jersey Police.
Domestic reports are only recorded when the individuals involved are aged 16 or over. The below figures include domestic incidents where a child was also present.
Sexual offences against children are recorded separately outside the Domestic Violence scheme. Please see previous responses for these figures.
