Request

I would like to know how many students were accepted into sixth form education for each of the last three years for Hautlieu and Highlands College specifically those students that were not normally resident in the island twelve months before their acceptance.

Response

The table below details the post 16 intake as at September each year for Hautlieu School and Highlands College.

The number of students who declared on their application form that they had been in the Island less than twelve months is shown in brackets.

For additional context, see the policy on access to publicly funded education below.

Date of entrySept 2013Sept 2014Sept 2015
Hautlieu School259 (6)257 (6)279.75 (8)
Highlands College775(2)741(0)731(0)

Hautlieu School includes full time and part time students entering year 12.

Highlands College includes full time students of all ages enrolling on a new course in September of each year.

Part time students are excluded as this group includes adult education, commercial courses etc.

Data does not include students starting the second year of a course.
