Response

A

The Government of Jersey (GOJ) do not hold this information.

EVie are a private company and are not covered by the Freedom of Information legislation, however, you may wish to contact them directly.

B

The GOJ have not allocated any spaces for the sole use of EVie since any user is entitled to use the spaces created for bicycles, dockless hire bikes, e-Bikes and cargo bikes.

C and D

The transport section of Infrastructure, Housing and Environment (IHE) have allocated four spaces on the Esplanade, a GOJ managed road, for the sole use of EVie.

A permit, costing £824 per annum, is required for the use of each dedicated parking bay.

EVie are currently undertaking a trial for a park and ride scheme and have been allocated two bays in both layby three and six on Victoria Avenue.   EVie are not being charged for these spaces at present since GOJ are supporting this trial because it has the potential to reduce traffic congestion and pollution within St. Helier.

The results of this trial will be reviewed at the end of 2021 to determine its success and permit charges will be part of the review.
