The Government of Jersey (GOJ) does not maintain a list of registered companies who install the items you have listed. Therefore, this information is not held, as per Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

There are no GOJ price allowance incentives regarding the installation of these items.

The information you have requested is partially exempt under Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 because information regarding electric vehicles up to 30 September 2021 is already accessible to you on open data (Welcome - Government of Jersey Open Data).

Vehicle Registrations to end of September 2021

Once downloaded, the whole spreadsheet can be filtered to allow the extraction of the specific information required eg electric cars and ‘motorcycles’ registered.

It is not a legal requirement to register electric bicycles in Jersey, therefore, we do not hold this information. Therefore, this information is not held as per Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

Article 3 - Meaning of “information held by a public authority”

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a) it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b) it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.

Article 23 - Information accessible to applicant by other means

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.

(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.
