Please can I ask how many Jersey fishing boats are registered in Jersey six meters and above in length?

How much do Jersey fishing boats pay to register their boat each year after paying thousands for a UK licence to get a Jersey add on licence? I know the price varies on boat size so there should be a range of amounts.

As at 18 October 2021 Jersey has 81 commercial fishing vessels registered that are six metres or above in length.

B

The Government of Jersey (GOJ) has not recorded the administration time spent in relation to the issuing of fishing licences to French vessels, as this is considered to be a ‘business as usual’ function. Therefore, this information is not held in accordance with Article 10 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

C

The GOJ have not issued any fishing licences to French vessels six metres or under in length as at 18 October 2021.

D

The registration of Jersey fishing vessels is administered by the Ports of Jersey and not the GOJ, therefore Article 10 of the FOI Law applies as this information is not held.
