Response
A and B
All data provided for this response covers the date range January 2020 to October 2021.
The total number of new staff (including non-clinical and non-nursing staff) employed by HCS since January 2020 is 586.
However, it should be noted that 245 (41.8%) of the 586 were employed for the COVID-19 Service, Testing and Tracing Support Team as well as Primary Care General Practice.
C
The information requested is not available centrally and to extract the information for each individual would exceed the 12.5 hours provided under the law. Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
However, we were able to establish that there were 55 new line managers starting between February 2021 and September 2021 in either a promotion or new role. This is a mixture of patient facing and non-patient facing roles. For the purposes of this question a manager is defined as an individual who is designated as being the line manager for at least one other employee.
D
This information is not held, as per Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.
E
This information is exempt under Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.
To provide a residential location, including the jurisdiction in which they reside, may identify individuals’ personal identifiable information, which would breach the privacy of the individuals concerned.
F
The total number of Clinical Consultants employed is 77. There are currently 20 Locum Consultants who are supplied through an agency.
G
The total number of staff who have left the full-time employment of the HCS and subsequently re-employed on a zero hours contract by HCS in the period since January 2020 to date is 104.
