In the ministerial decisions, it States the appointment of a new Gambling Commissioner but fails to name the person.
Can you please advise who this person is and how the decision to appoint this person was reached?
As this is supposed to be about Freedom of Information, it seems that much information is withheld for whatever reason. Can you please advise if there is a plan to actually name people on the website in future when the information is in the public domain - and, if not, why has the decision to withhold this information been taken?

In accordance with Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 the department is absolutely exempt from providing this information (see below)
23 Information accessible to applicant by other means
(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.
(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.
