A Ports Policy Group was established to, amongst other things, set the Government's policy objectives in relation to Ports of Jersey Limited. The Group first met in January 2017. Please list the current members of the Ports Policy Group and dates that they met. If they are not meeting please advise how their functions are being taken forward.
Response
Membership of the Ports Policy Group was as follows:
- Chief Minister (or designate)
- Minister for Economic Development (or designate)
- Minister for Treasury and Resources (or designate)
- Chief Executive of the States (or designate)
- Chief Officer, Economic Development (or designate)
- Treasurer of the States (or designate)
The Ports Policy Group (PPG) did not continue to meet following the meeting in April 2017.
The PPG was not taken forward by the following Government administration. Currently, oversight of Ports of Jersey regarding the Government shareholder functions is undertaken by the Minister for Treasury and Resources and air and sea transport policy, regulatory and competition matters is the responsibility of the Minister for Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture.
