The £500 was a prorated non-consolidated payment, part of the 2022 pay award. The payment was authorised by the States Employment Board.
B
Yes, the Government of Jersey is only able to agree pay awards for their own employees.
C
No, the payment formed part of the pay negotiations for all pay groups within the Government of Jersey.
D
Employees needed to have worked during 2021 and remained in employment at the time the pay offer was accepted by the Trade Unions. The payment was pro rata based on employees who joined in 2021 and or for part-time working.

The total cost of the payment to date is £2,876,774. This excludes teachers, who have yet to accept the offer made.
