I would like a breakdown of average A&E hospital waiting times, as well as GP waiting times, in both Jersey and Guernsey.

If I could get averages broken down by month for 2022 and then the same for 2021 2020 2019 and 2018 if possible?

Data on average time spent in the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department of Jersey General Hospital is now routinely published in the Health and Community Services (HCS) Quality and Performance Report on www.gov.je. The report includes information on both time to triage and time to commence treatment. The latest version is available here:

HCS first published the Quality and Performance Report in June 2021 (containing data back to June 2020). As the data already available in the public domain does not cover the whole of the time period requested, please see the table below for full details of the average total time spent in A&E broken down by month from January 2018 to May 2022:

The Government of Jersey is unable to provide any information relating to GP service waiting times in Jersey, as these are independent private businesses and we do not hold this information. Therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.

The Government of Jersey is unable to provide any information relating to either A&E or GP service waiting times in Guernsey, as these organisations are outside of our jurisdiction and we do not hold this information. Therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.
