The number of places available in each school nursery class last term.

The number of children who attended each school nursery class last term from 9.00am until 3.00pm.

The number of full time and part time staff allocated to each nursery class last term.

The table below represents the number of pupils enrolled, the capacity of the nursery and therefore places available in each school nursery class as at the end of the summer term 2022:

Formal attendance data is not recorded for nursery classes as children are not of statutory school attendance age. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

School nursery classes have 3 full time staff, made up of a Nursery Teacher and 2 Nursery officers. Staffing in school Nursery classes is a minimum of 1 staff member to 10 pupils. If the school nursery class capacity is more than 30, additional Nursery Officers are in post to meet the 1:10 ratio.

Article 3 - Meaning of "information held by a public authority"

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.
