A. Please provide the cost of nurse recruitment for HSSD by year for the past 5 years.
B. Please provide how many nurses are recruited each year for the last 5 years.
C. Please provide the number of nurses within the last 5 years that leave hssd within their first 6 months (probationary period) and the reasons for leaving, especially those who have been deemed by HSSD to fail their probationary period.
D. If unable to provide reasons for leaving please indicate number that have left of their own accord and number dismissed by HSSD in the last 5 years.
Clarification: I would define nurse recruitment as all costs related to the recruitment of nurses, this would include costs of advertising including any dedicated campaigns, costs of interviewing including travel and relocation plus the cost of any permanent recruitment staff wages over the last 5 years.

HSSD has not had a designated recruitment person specifically for nursing staff over the past five years, therefore, we are unable to provide a cost of recruitment staff wages purely for nursing roles.
B. Over the past five years (2011 to 2015), there have been a total of 335 nurses recruited during this period, the information contained in the table below is based on data stored within the central HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
The table below identifies the amount of nurses recruited by year:
2011 | 69 |
2012 | 76 |
2013 | 69 |
2014 | 67 |
2015 | 54 |
Total | 335 |
C. Unfortunately, due to the sensitivity of the information requested, Article 25 of the Freedom of Information Law Jersey Law 2011 (the “FOI Law”), has been applied, which refers to personal information.

D. Again, due to the sensitivity of the information requested, Article 25 of the Freedom of Information Law Jersey Law 2011 (the “FOI Law”), has been applied, which refers to personal information.
