Request
Jersey’s excellent Assisted Reproduction Unit (ARU) at Overdale partners with the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine to provide fertility treatment for Jersey residents. This treatment is free in Jersey, but patients pay in Bristol (typically, a lump sum of around £5,000 for a cycle of IVF).
Does any of this money flow back to the ARU or any government-owned institution in Jersey, or any government employee in Jersey?
Response
No monies paid to the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine are received by the Assisted Reproduction Unit of Health and Community Services, any government-owned institution in Jersey, or any government employee in Jersey.
