The guidelines were updated in 2012.

Information is publicly available on www.gov.je within the Percentage for Art Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) Advice.

Note 3 under “Selecting an artist / craftsperson” section on page 9, within bullet point 3, states “open competition where invitations are published through appropriate publications such as Artists Newsletter and arts organisations (nationally) and other media locally”.

The Public Art Statement is submitted as part of the planning application and determined under delegated authority or by the planning committee. This is the position since the guidance note was updated in 2012.

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.
