AXA Occupational Health contract 2016 to 2022 (FOI)

Request

Following on from previous FOI response in 2016 relating the AXA Occupational Health contract -

AXA PPP Healthcare Occupational Health (FOI)

Please provide the following information:

A

The annual cost of the contract from 2016 until 2022.

B

The date of last renewal of the contract to provide Occupational Health services.

C

The expiry date of the current contract.

Response 

A

The contract value is considered to be commercially sensitive information, therefore Article 33(b) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied. 

Article 33(b) is a qualified exemption; therefore, a public interest test has been applied and is shown at the end of this response.

B

The contract was last renewed on 1 November 2021.

C

The current contract is due to expire on 31 October 2024 with the option to extend for two more periods of 12 months.

Article 33 - Commercial interests

Information is qualified exempt information if –

(a) it constitutes a trade secret; or

(b) its disclosure would, or would be likely to, prejudice the commercial interests of a person (including the scheduled public authority holding the information).

Public interest test

To release the annual cost of the contract with AXA could potentially disadvantage AXA’s ability to retain a commercial advantage in any future negotiations.  

It is in the public interest to be made aware of any subsidies being paid to AXA, however, it is considered that the likely prejudices to AXA should this information be released, outweigh the argument that release is in the public interest.
