Police response
These charity patches have traditionally been worn to remember fallen officers and to support the families of officers who have died in the line of duty. There is no inference within the States of Jersey Police that the wearing of these patches shows allegiance to any gang.
The number of police officers currently choosing to wear the blue line patch is not known. Therefore Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
