£1.67 million is put aside in the Government Plan for the Children in Care Support package.

The Scheduled Public Authority has determined that to produce a breakdown of spending into categories would require analysis of each individual and how their funding was applied. 

It is estimated this would exceed the cost limit provisions set out in the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014 as the information is not held in a reportable format. Therefore Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied. 

The number of Care Leavers by Year are shown below: 

Please note these numbers include the Children Looked After who either qualify or qualified for the offer and have had an allocated Personal Advisor. The Care leavers will appear more than once if they stay in the system across more than one year.

Whilst the Government of Jersey has a Customer Feedback Management System each Children’s Services complaint raised would need to be looked at individually to see if it relates to Care Leavers’ Offer and Support Entitlement for Looked After Children fund / scheme. The Scheduled Public Authority has estimated that to produce the data would exceed the cost limit provisions set out in the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014 as the information is not held in a reportable format.
