Please provide more information on the island's recycling and non-recyclable rates, specifically for 2021, 2022 and 2023. The details on the States website end at 2020 and haven't been updated.
Waste Management Statistics (gov.je)
Waste recycled (including composting) for 2021, 2022 and 2023 (in tonnes) for:
Recyclable items:
- Paper and card
- Packaging wood
- Metal packaging
- Textiles
- Plastic (supermarket film, agricultural crop cover and plastic bottles)
- Glass
- Green waste received
- Household metals
- Electrical and electronic equipment
- Batteries
- Plasterboard
- Gas cylinders
Non-recyclable items:
- Parish deliveries to energy from waste plant (EFW)
- Miscellaneous deliveries to EFW
- Bulky waste deliveries for shredding
- Dried sewage sludge to EFW
- Grit and rags from sewage treatment works to EFW
Other waste processed or recycled 2021, 2022 and 2023:
- Scrap metal recycled
- Aggregates recycled
- Metals extracted from bottom ash
- Ash
- Sewage processed (million cubic metres)

It should be noted that the Government of Jersey no longer maintains records regarding metals extracted from bottom ash, therefore, this information is not held and Article 10 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law applies.
