A new Director of Public Health, Professor Peter, Bradley was appointed for Jersey in April 202. It ws advised that he would fill the statutory Medical Officer of Health (MOH) role.

Pleae confirm who is the current MOH?

Is the MOH able, under the law, to speak independently to media about public health concerns as prior to the change in the Government of Jersey structure?

Professor Peter Bradley is the current Medical Officer of Health (‘MOH’).
B.
The Medical Officer of Health role is established under Article 10 of the Loi (1934) sur la Santé Publique. Since the role was established in this 1934 Law, no changes to the Government of Jersey’s structure have impacted on the MOH’s ability to speak independently to media about public health concerns or not.
