Advertisement of Chief Pharmacist Post (FOI)

The Chief Pharmacist left his post September 2022.  Since then, an Acting Chief Pharmacist has been in post. Please advise when the permanent position will be advertised and how broadly will it be advertised?

Response

The Chief Pharmacist role is being reviewed as part of the Minister for Health and Social Services’ plans for the division of strategic and operational roles in the wider Healthcare setting. As such, the current arrangements will remain until such time as those plans have been completed and agreed, and the interim arrangement will continue until decisions on future direction are finalised.​
