Response
The table details the number of unique individuals meeting the specified age parameters on Health and Community Services’ Speech and Language Therapy caseload, as at 12 July 2024. Figures include all individuals with ‘Open’ service involvement under the ‘Speech & Language – Children’s’ centre of care.
These figures will not include children and young people who have received care and are now closed to the service (historic input), or those who have been diagnosed privately or off island and are not yet known / not open to the service, including those who have arrived in Jersey with a diagnosis and are yet to be referred to the service for support.
Individuals will be represented in multiple cohorts, owing to overlap in the age parameters specified for each part of the query.
Cohort | Caseload |
A. Children and young people (aged 3 to 18 years) | 733
|
B. Children of primary age (aged 4 to 18 years) | 574
|
C. Children of Early Years age (aged 3 to 5 years) | 446
