Request
A
How many properties in Jersey have a tight tank sewage disposal system (as opposed to soakaway)?
B
Of these, how many are on the annual subsidised tanker rate from the Government of Jersey?
Response
A
The Government of Jersey does not hold the total number of properties in Jersey that have a tight tank sewage system as the Government of Jersey is not the only provider. Permission is required from Building Control to install a tight tank; however, this information is not held in a reportable format. To provide an answer to the request would require extraction and manipulation of data to produce new information.
A Scheduled Public Authority is not required to manipulate and create new data sets. It has been estimated that the cost of extracting the data would exceed the cost limit provisions set out in the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014.
Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
B
There is currently only one tight tank on a subsidised rate from the Government of Jersey.
