Health and Community Services (HCS) has recently published data for instances of physical abuse, verbal abuse and racial abuse towards HCS staff, from 2020 to June 2024, in a Freedom of Information response, available on www.gov.je in the following link:

11 safety events involving assaults upon States of Jersey Ambulance Service staff are recorded for the period 1 January 2024 to 15 July 2024. The service has previously published data for assaults upon their staff for the period 2021 to May 2024 in a Freedom of Information response, available on www.gov.je in the following link:

There have been no assaults on States of Jersey Fire and Rescue personnel.

The below table shows the number of attacks made on all Police Officers in the previous 12 months (up to end July 2024):

There are no records held by the States of Jersey Police that indicate any Centeniers have been assaulted while on duty during the last 12 months.

Article 23 - Information accessible to applicant by other means

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.
