As of 30 September 2024, there are 729 vehicles that have permanent P30 vehicle exemption licences.  These were issued in accordance with Article 78 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) law 1956.

These licences are issued to many different types of vehicles, examples of some of the vehicle types are listed below:

• Category L Vehicles (Citroen Ami, Renault Twizzy and so forth) 
• Motor Tricycles 
• Oversized vehicles 
• Specialist Agricultural Vehicles (Combine Harvesters, Foragers) 
• Buses
  
• Overweight Vehicles 
• Vehicles fitted with winches or other frontal projections 
• Historic Military Vehicles
• Airfield rescue vehicles

There are currently 45 vehicles that have restrictions relating to time of movement.

Time restrictions are applied on a case-by-case basis, and these vary dependant on the size of the vehicle and route that they are permitted to travel.  Examples of the time restrictions are listed below:

• Vehicle not permitted to travel on the Public Highway between 0730 hrs and 0930 hrs and 1500 hrs -1930 hrs
• Vehicle to travel between 1930 hrs and 0730 hrs
• Vehicle to travel between 1800 hrs and 0730 hrs
• Unless travelling to / from the ferry, DVS for inspection, Vehicle not permitted to travel between 0730 hrs to 0900 hrs and 1700 hrs to 1815 hrs.
• Vehicle not permitted to travel between 0730 hrs to 0900 hrs and 1700 hrs to 1815 hrs.
• Vehicle to travel between 0300 hrs and 0430 hrs​
