I would like to know how many bursaries or scholarships, partial or full (not including financial support for school trips), have been awarded for key stage 3, 4 and 5 students at Jersey College for Girls.
B
Could you also supply information as to whether any of these bursaries have been granted to students whose household income exceeds the stated £48,000 per year 'cut off point' for bursaries, and, if so, how many of these have been awarded in the last 5 years, as well as reasons for these bursaries being granted if possible; and
C
How every bursary (including those awarded to students whose household income was UNDER £48,000) was funded (e.g. through the JCG foundation, or through tax subsidies), which type of bursary was awarded and how much money the funding amounted to in total.

Between 2011 and 2015, 11 bursaries were granted to students whose household incomes exceeded £48,000.
The Education Department has determined that due to the nature of the information requested, any information provided as to the reasons for any bursary may lead to the disclosure of personal information and therefore, is exempt under Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law.

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.
(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –
(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and
(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
