The Royal College of Radiologists was asked to conduct a review into the Jersey Hospital Radiology Department. Please provide a copy of the report was produced and given to Health and Community Services (HCS) in February 2024.

I note that the report was exempted from FOI disclosure on the basis of imminent publication on 5 June 2024. This begs the obvious question, where is it? It is December 2024 and "imminent" has passed. The public of Jersey have little faith in their health care or their government when the States routinely cover-up their failures.

Response

The information requested is absolutely exempt from disclosure under Article 23 of the FOI Law because it is already publicly available. 

The Health and Community Services Advisory Board Publish their meeting Papers on a      bi-monthly basis. The Royal College of Radiology Report including a Review of Mammography Service was made publicly available in Part A of the July 2024 HCS Advisory Board papers which are available online at:

Article 23 - Information accessible to applicant by other means

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.

(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for​​ information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.​
