Advance notice on Condor Ferry decision (FOI)

Did Deputy Morel, or any other member of the Jersey Government, receive advance notice or confirmation from Guernsey's Government of their intention to select Condor Ferries / Brittany Ferries as its ferry operator prior to their announcement on 30 October? Given some of the public comments I have seen and heard and its impact on inter-island relationships, I believe it is in the public interest to know whether Guernsey acted with or without Jersey's prior knowledge.

Response

The Minister for Sustainable Economic Development was advised in confidence by his Guernsey counterpart of the preferred bidder for Guernsey. Deputy Morel responded to seek clarification and further discussions at both an officer and political level. ​
