Road Death Investigation Manual (2) (FOI)

I have previously submitted a request as set out below under reference number 657255405: 

"Please disclose any policies and/or procedures that identify the circumstances when the Road Death Investigation Manuel 2007 is undertaken to be used / followed by the States of Jersey Police investigations during an investigation into a serious injury and/or fatal road traffic collision."

I have been advised under the response to request 657255405 that; 

"The States of Jersey Police follow the College of Policing Guidance around the investigation of fatal and serious injury collisions."

My revised request is for details of any States of Jersey Police policies and/or procedures which exist that are followed or considered in the course of attending to or the investigation of a fatal or serious injury collision.

The thrust of the request is to establish the internal States of Jersey Police policies and or procedures that currently exist where dealing with such road traffic incidents. That information was not provided in the previous reply from there States of Jersey Police. 

The response that was sent back to me (by post) under reference number 657255405 did not show the actual link to the on-line material to which the response related, it was a hyperlink which is of little use in a letter, I would be most grateful for the url to the material.

The States of Jersey Police adhere to the College of Policing’s guidance for investigating fatal and serious road injury collisions.

We have discontinued the use of the Road Death Investigation Manual 2007. Instead, all our investigations are now based on the Authorised Professional Practice (APP) for the investigation of fatal and serious injury road collisions, as provided by the College of Policing.
