Response
Data Protection Cases
The JOIC mobilises its regulatory activity in a number of ways. Reprimands are sent to Data Controllers and Data Processors following a breach of DPJL or DPAJL.
The Government of Jersey has had over 25 Data Controllers registered with the JOIC since the start of DPJL 2018.
Due to this Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to the response as each complaint, at all levels of the enforcement process received from the JOIC by each Data Controller would need to be manually checked to confirm if the word “reprimand” had been used in in that process as the JOIC do not always use this action.
Freedom of Information
“Reprimand” is not used in the FOI JOIC appeal process, however all cases once the appeal is completed are shared here.
