Response

The States of Jersey Police do not have a dedicated role of 'Rural Police Officers' as known in the UK, where they are referred to as Neighbourhood Policing Officers. Jersey's nearest equivalent is the Community Policing Team. Following three major incidents in 2022, much of the Community Policing Team was redeployed for operational reasons and has been gradually reinstated since late November 2023. Please see table attached for a breakdown of the Community Policing Team during the dates requested.​
