Please provide a total cost and breakdown of the costs for flights and accommodation paid for Senator Ozouf between Jan 2015 to date.

Response

On 10 June 2016 the States of Jersey published a review of Travel Policy and Recommendations for Improvement.

Appendix 2 of the review contains a breakdown of flights expenses and accommodation booked for civil servants and States Members during 2014 and 2015.

Information has also been provided to the Public Accounts Committee.

The flight costs incurred by Ministers and Assistant Ministers are already published on an annual basis. The most recent available figures form part of Appendix 3 and an updated report is due to be presented to the States Assembly in September.

Article 23 – Information accessible to applicant by other means

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.

(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.
