Summary
The Jersey Opinions and Lifestyle Survey collects detailed information on a wide range of topics. It provides official social statistics about Jersey, allowing everyone in the Island to have a better understanding of social issues and for policy to be made from a more informed standpoint.
The survey has a set of core questions covering population demographics and economic activity. There are also questions that gauge public opinion on a range of different topics.
Topics included in the 2016 survey included:
- employment and work
- caring for children
- health (including smoking, drinking and mental health)
- crime and policing
- transport and infrastructure
- culture and heritage
- internet
This survey was formerly known as the Jersey Annual Social Survey, which has been run since 2005 and was renamed in 2016.
