Summary
The profile aims to paint a picture of the mental health and wellbeing of Jersey's population. This profile takes a Public Health perspective, as mental wellbeing is more than the absence of mental illness. Data relating to population mental health is drawn together from various sources in this profile.
The report explores available survey data on wellbeing for both adults and children in Jersey's population. Other data presented includes prescription activity, incapacity allowance claims for mental health, primary care registers, referrals and contacts with Jersey Talking Therapies and CAMHS, emergency department attendances for mental health related issues, and aggregate data on suicides. A short section on dementia is also included, covering the primary care register, prescriptions for dementia medications, and deaths involving dementia.
