The Minister has approved the increase in fees of the relevant Orders as scheduled below to be effective from 1st January 2008.

Food Safety (Ice-Cream Stalls etc.) (Amendment No. 27) (Jersey) Order 200-
Explanatory Note
This Order increases £92.50 to £94.75 the fee for a licence to sell ice-cream from a van or stall. The fee was last increased one year ago.
The Order was made on 2007 and comes into force on 1st January 2008.

THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES, in pursuance of Articles 20 and 58 of the Food Safety (Jersey) Law 1966, orders as follows –
1 Article 3 amended
In Article 3(2) of the Food Safety (Ice-Cream Stalls etc.) (Jersey) Order 1969, for “£92.50” there is substituted “£94.75”.
2 Revocation
The Food and Drugs (Ice-Cream Stalls etc.) (Amendment No. 27) (Jersey) Order 2006 is revoked.
3 Citation and commencement
(1) This Order may be cited as the Food and Drugs (Ice-Cream Stalls etc.) (Amendment No. 28) (Jersey) Order 200-
(2) It shall come into force on 1st January 2008.
Dentists (Ancillary Dental Workers – Fees) (Jersey) Order 200-
Explanatory Note
This Order increases from £39 to £40 the fee payable by an ancillary dental worker for the entry or the restoration of the worker’s name in one of the rolls kept in respect of ancillary dental workers.
The Order also increases from £23.00 to £23.50 the fee payable for the retention of a person’s name on the roll.
The Order was made on 2007 and will come into force on 1st January 2008.

THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES, in pursuance of Article 10(8) of the Dentists Registration (Jersey) Law 1961, orders as follows –
1 Fees payable for ancillary dental workers
The fees payable under Article 10(8) of the Dentists (Registration) (Jersey) Law 1961 are –
(a) £40.00 for the entry of a person’s name on the roll or record;
(b) £23.50 for the retention of a person’s name on the roll or record in any year after the year in which that person’s name was first recorded; and
(c) £40.00 for the restoration of a person’s name to the roll or record.
2 Revocation
The Dentists (Ancillary Dental Workers – Fees) (Jersey) Order 2006 is revoked.
3 Citation and commencement
(1) This Order may be cited as the Dentists (Ancillary Dental Workers – Fees) (Jersey) Order 200-.
(2) This Order shall come into force on 1st January 2008.
Nursing Agencies (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 23) (Jersey) Order 200-
Explanatory Note
This Order increases the fees payable for a licence to carry on a nursing agency. The fees were last increased one year ago.

THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES, in pursuance of Articles 2 and 6 of the Nursing Agencies (Jersey) Law 1978, orders as follows –
1 Interpretation
In this Order “principal Order” means the Nursing Agencies (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1978.
2 Article 2 amended
For paragraph (2) of Article 2 of the principal Order there shall be substituted the following paragraphs –
“(2) Subject to paragraph (3), the appropriate fee for a licence shall be £229.25 in the case of a first application for a licence and £113.25 in the case of renewal of a licence by the same person in respect of the same premises.
(3) Where the application is made by reason only that it is proposed to carry on an agency in respect of which a licence is held on different premises, the fee shall be £90.”.
3 Revocation
The Nursing Agencies (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 22) (Jersey) Order 2006 shall be revoked.
4 Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Nursing Agencies (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 23) (Jersey) Order 200- and shall come into force on 1st January 2008.
Nursing Homes and Mental Nursing Homes (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 15) (Jersey) Order 200-
Explanatory Note
This Order increases the fees in respect of registration of nursing homes and mental nursing homes. The fees were last increased on 1st January 2007.
The Order was made on and comes into force on 1st January 2008.

1 Interpretation
In this Order “principal Order” means the Nursing Homes and Mental Nursing Homes (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1995.
2 Article 3 amended
In Article 3 of the principal Order –
(a) in paragraph (a) for the amount “£65” there shall be substituted the amount “£66.50”;
(b) in paragraph (b) for the amount “£153.50” there shall be substituted the amount “£157.25”.
3 Article 4 amended
In Article 4(1) of the principal Order for the amount “£78.50” there shall be substituted the amount “£80.50”.
4 Revocation
The Nursing Homes and Mental Nursing Homes (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 14) (Jersey) Order 2006 shall be revoked.
5 Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Nursing Homes and Mental Nursing Homes (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 15) (Jersey) Order 200- and shall come into force on 1st January 2008.
Residential Homes (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 14) (Jersey) Order 200-
Explanatory Note
This Order increases the fees in respect of registration of residential homes. The fees were last increased on 1st January 2007.

1 Interpretation
In this Order “principal Order” means the Residential Homes (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 1995.
2 Article 3 amended
In Article 3 of the principal Order –
(a) in paragraph (a) for the amount “£65” there shall be substituted the amount “£66.50”;
(b) in paragraph (b) for the amount “£153.50” there shall be substituted the amount “£157.25”.
3 Article 4 amended
In Article 4(1) of the principal Order for the amount “£78.50” there shall be substituted the amount “£80.50”.
4 Revocation
The Residential Homes (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 13) (Jersey) Order 2006 shall be revoked.
5 Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Residential Homes (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 14) (Jersey) Order 200- and shall come into force on 1st January 2008.
Cremation (Fees) (Jersey) Order 200-
Explanatory Note
This Order increases the cost of cremating a person who had attained the age of 18 years from £262 to £288 and increase from £45 to £46 the maximum fee payable for a medical certificate required under the Cremation (Jersey) Regulation 1961.
The Order was made on 2007 and will come into force on 1st January 2008.

THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES, in pursuance of Article 4 of the Cremation (Jersey) Law 1953, orders as follows –
1 Cremation fee
The fee for cremating the remains of a person is –
(a) nil if the person was under 18 years of age at death; or
(b) £288 in any other case.
2 Medical certificate fee
The maximum fee that a registered medical practitioner may charge for completing the medical certificate required by Regulation 6(a) of the Cremation (Jersey) Regulations 1961 and set out in Schedule 2 or 3 to the Regulations is £46.
3 Revocation
The Cremation (Fees) (Jersey) Order 2006 is revoked.
4 Citation and commencement
(1) This Order may be cited as the Cremation (Fees) (Jersey) Order 200-.
(2) It comes into force on 1st January 2008.
