Who we are
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) is a mental health service that supports children and young people up to the age of 18.
We work with young people and families to:
- support young people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing
- allow the opportunity for young people to explore and learn about their brains and neurodiversity
- provide assistance to siblings, parents and carers of young people who may be experiencing mental health difficulties
We offer assessment, diagnosis and support for:
- emotional difficulties
- behavioural difficulties
- relationship difficulties
- developmental difficulties
- other mental health disorders
We want to make sure:
- everyone knows where to get support
- everyone who asks, gets support quickly
- we proactively promote positive health and wellbeing
- the support people get is based on treatments that work
- everyone is listened to and involved in decisions that affect them
We want a society where children and young people enjoy a happy, confident childhood, thrive, achieve their potential and grow into adults who can cope with the demands of daily life.

- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- low mood and depression
- self-harm
- suicidality
- trauma
- loss and bereavement
- eating disorders
- bipolar disorder
- tics
- social and communication difficulties
- psychiatric issues
We also support people with neurodevelopmental differences, including:
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- brain development disorders
- Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
