About the Subsidised Product Scheme (SPS)
The Government of Jersey offers subsidies to help you with the cost of certain medical products including:
- stoma products
- urinary and continence consumables
- dietary supplements
- enteral feeds
- feeding tube accessories
The scheme is operated by Coop Pharmacy on our behalf and is based at New Era Pharmacy.
Joining the scheme
Any child or adult can apply to join the scheme. You must have been a Jersey resident for at least 6 months.
Speak to a relevant healthcare professional, such as the Hospital Dietician. They'll assess your needs and confirm if you're eligible.
If you're eligible, they'll give you a SPS voucher. The SPS voucher is similar to a prescription. It's valid for a specified time and for the products appropriate to your condition.
You'll need to register your voucher with the New Era Pharmacy to order your subsidised products.
Register you voucher
Before you can make an order you must register your SPS voucher with the New Era Pharmacy.
You can do this:
- in person. Take your voucher to the New Era Pharmacy
- by email. Send a photograph of your voucher to sps@channelislands.coop
- via your healthcare professional. They can contact New Era on your behalf and register your voucher
Subsidies available
Subsidies only apply to products approved by the scheme.
If you order products that are not approved, you'll have to pay for them in full.
You can receive 100% subsidy if:
- you're aged 5 and under
- you have metabolic diseases
Subsidies include GST.
