Transport and Technical Services will be installing a new sewer at Rouge Bouillon on the junction with Great Union Road on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June. These are advance works for the Roussel Street Surface Water Separation scheme which will be undertaken in the autumn.
There will be unavoidable disruption for road users, however this will be minimized as much as possible and well sign-posted. During the hours of work, 9am to 5pm , traffic management will be by means of ‘Stop/Go boards’, allowing Rouge Bouillon to remain open to traffic. Rouge Bouillon will be made safe so that it can be opened to traffic on Saturday at 5pm until start of work at 8am on Sunday morning.. However, the top end of Great Union Road , as far as Aquila Road , will be closed to through traffic throughout Saturday and overnight until 5pm on Sunday, but will remain open for access only.
