Employment Tribunal
has released its annual report for the period
1 July 2006
to
30 June 2007
.
Social Security Minister, Paul Routier said: “I am very grateful to the members of the Employment Tribunal and their Secretary for their continued commitment and dedication during the past year. I am aware that the Tribunal has a huge workload and I am sure that the four new members joining in 2008 will be a welcome addition.”
The annual report states that of the 230 applications submitted to the Employment Tribunal during that period, 93 were settled without a hearing being necessary, 29 were heard by the Tribunal and 77 cases were ongoing. Of the cases heard, 22 were found in favour of the employee and 7 in favour of the employer.
