The Fisheries and Marine Resources section has produced a new set of pamphlets that explain important aspects of marine conservation to anglers and low water fishermen.
The Fisheries section at the Environment Department is involved in the conservation of both marine species and the marine environment as a whole. There is a balance between activities of fishermen and the needs of the marine ecosystem to be maintained.
There are three pamphlets on low water fishing and angling accompanied by a laminated card listing the minimum landing sizes of fish in French, Portuguese and Polish.

The pamphlets have been put together by Aimee Reading, the Undergraduate Internship Student with the Fisheries Section.
As well as being simple to understand the pamphlets are designed to be economical to produce and cost significantly less than the plastic cards that have been produced for a number of years.
Angling and low water fishing are addressed on different sheets enabling more detailed information to be contained in the advice.
